Why sleep on silk? ↓

The Vault, after dark

Why sleep on silk?

A simple change in texture. A little more pleasure in the everyday.

A smooth place to rest

Silk’s smooth surface feels soft against your skin and hair. Choose it for the texture you love at the end of a long day.

Your evening, softened

A gentle sheen, fluid folds and a beautiful finish on your bed. Small details that make winding down feel a little more considered.

Know your silk

Silk is a fibre; satin describes a weave and can be made from different fibres. We’ll share the incoming collection’s material composition and fabric weight before you buy.

A considered fit

Standard, Queen and King refer to the pillowcase size. Your pillow’s actual measurements matter more than the label, so check them against the finished dimensions when the collection launches.

Zip closure

A zip closes the opening to keep the pillow enclosed. The final zip construction will be shown in the product photographs at launch.

Envelope closure

An overlapping fabric flap tucks around the pillow. A lovely option if you prefer a finish without a zip.

Keep your silk beautiful

A little care goes a long way. Always follow the care label supplied with your pillowcase.

Wash gently

Use cool water and a detergent suitable for silk, following the care label.

Handle softly

Avoid rubbing or wringing. Press excess water gently into a clean towel.

Dry with care

Dry in the shade, away from direct heat. Do not bleach or tumble dry.

Before you make your bed

Can I order a pillowcase now?

Not yet. This page previews the planned collection. Join the list for launch updates; orders will open once stock, prices, measurements and product details are confirmed.

What is included in the Pillowcase Pair?

Two pillowcases in the same selected size, closure and colour. Pillows are not included. Single and Pair prices will be shown at launch.

Which size should I choose?

Measure the width and length of your pillow, then compare them with the finished pillowcase measurements published at launch. If you are unsure, ask Tori before ordering.

Will silk change my hair or skin?

Choose silk for its smooth surface and the feel you enjoy sleeping against. Hair and skin vary, and a pillowcase is not a treatment. We don’t promise overnight transformations.

How much is Australian shipping?

Standard Australian delivery is $7.50 for orders under $50 AUD and free from $50 AUD after discounts. Any other delivery options and charges are shown at checkout.

THE SILK, EXPLAINED

Know the silk you’re choosing.

Not sure what the numbers mean? Here is what to look for—and why the fabric touching your hair deserves a little thought.

Momme is silk’s fabric weight.

Momme (mm) measures fabric weight for a given area. It is not millimetres or thread count. A higher number means a heavier fabric: choose the weight, drape and finish that suit your routine.

6A is a raw-silk grade.

6A is the highest grade in a commonly used raw-silk grading system. Grading assesses qualities such as thread evenness and cleanness. It describes the raw silk—not the fabric’s weight, a finished-product certificate or guaranteed beauty results.

Silk is the fibre. Satin is the weave.

Satin describes how yarns are woven to create a smooth face. It can be made from silk, polyester or other fibres. So silk satin is real silk, while polyester satin is synthetic. Both can feel smooth; check the fibre label, not just the shine.

19, 22 or 30 momme?

19 momme

A lighter feel

Lighter fabric weight than 22 or 30 momme. Often chosen for an airy, fluid drape. A lower weight is not automatically poor-quality silk.

22 momme

Soft drape. More substance.

More fabric weight per area than 19 momme, with a balance of fluidity and substance. We choose 22 momme silk for our scrunchies: softly gathered, with a beautiful drape.

30 momme

A more substantial finish

Heavier fabric weight per area than 19 or 22 momme, for a more substantial feel. Our pillowcase designs are listed at 30 momme. The collection is coming soon.

For the same fabric area, more momme means more weight. These bars compare relative fabric weight. Weave, finishing and construction also shape the feel of the finished piece.

Why make silk part of your routine?

A smoother way to style

A smooth silk outer creates a soft contact surface around the elastic. It may help reduce rubbing and snagging as you style and remove your scrunchie. Keep tension comfortable.

Luxury you can feel

Natural silk brings a soft hand-feel, fluid drape and gentle lustre. A little everyday luxury, chosen for the way it feels in your hair and against your skin.

Made to fit your routine

Fine hair, full curls or a loose bun: fabric size and elastic tension matter as much as the silk. Our size guide helps you choose your fabric volume; hold varies with your hair and number of wraps.

Your silk questions, answered

Is 30 momme always better than 22?

It is heavier per unit area, not automatically better for every use. Weave, finishing, stitching and care also affect the final feel and wear. A hair accessory and a pillowcase have different jobs; choose for the purpose and feel you enjoy.

Does 6A mean 100% silk or independently certified?

No. Fibre composition, raw-silk grade, fabric weight and certification answer different questions. Check each product’s stated materials. A 6A claim alone does not verify fibre content, chemical testing or the quality of the finished piece.

Why choose silk instead of polyester satin?

Choose silk if you prefer a natural protein fibre, its drape and its characteristic hand-feel. Polyester satin can also provide a smooth surface and may be easier to care for. Neither the word satin nor a glossy finish proves that a fabric is silk.

Will silk help curly, fine or coloured hair?

A smooth contact surface can be a gentler choice for everyday styling, but results vary. Choose a comfortable hold, release the elastic gently and avoid repeatedly tying too tightly in the same place. Silk accessories do not regrow hair or repair split ends.
